Little House on the Prairie: Charles finally begins building a kitchen onto the back of the house, but a sudden business trip leaves him unable to complete the job. Upon realizing the problem, the Olesons send over charismatic handyman Chris Nelson to assist. His kind, humble and unassuming demeanor makes him a genuine pleasure to have around the house, but it soon becomes evident that Chris--a self-described "floater" who has no family or relationships of his own--is concealing a love for Caroline. Mary soon suspects that he is having an affair with Caroline, and when her emotions are fueled by Nellie Oleson's demeaning remarks, she shocks everyone with some very un-Mary-like actions.
